This assignment was to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Project 500, a university project which invited 500 African American and other minorities to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Our required deliverables were a logo, postcard and poster. For research, we spoke with members who were part of the project.

The idea was a fairly radical one at the time, so I used bright and edgy imagery. The logo was a very abstracted 500 and the dots of the poster were taken from it, metaphorically representing the 500 students.
